planqc founders receive "EY Entrepreneur Of The Year" award 2024
planqc's founders, Dr. Alexander Glätzle, Dr. Sebastian Blatt, and Dr. Johannes Zeiher, have been awarded the "EY Entrepreneur of the Year” award 2024 in the "Young Companies" category, recognizing their pioneering work in quantum computing and their commitment to creating a "quantum computer made in Germany."
At the award ceremony in Berlin, with over 300 guests in attendance, Dr. Joachim Kuhn, CEO of va-Q-Tec AG and jury member, praised the founders for their innovative technology, describing planqc’s quantum computer as a "new egg of Columbus." He noted that, "These new quantum computers open up entirely new possibilities for research, business, and industry. It takes brilliant minds, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit to build such a groundbreaking machine."
With achievements such as a €50 million funding round and an initial contract valued at €29 million, planqc is advancing steadily toward its goal of competing with global leaders in the quantum computing sector.
